To involve the community in providing for the homeless by meeting their basic needs.
What We Do
Lazarus serves the community these 5 ways:
Weekly Ministry: Since the year 2000, we have sent small teams of volunteers to the street with beverages, food and smiles. Simple Consistent Kindness, week in week out and through that we have paved a way to help in encouraging the homeless to long term needs programs.
Large Events: Several Hundreds attend our 3 annual events, where on a mass scale the community meets the needs of the homeless (physical and social needs). Click on an event in the list below for more details:

- Super Bowl & Chili Cook-off
Resourcing and Networking Programs: In order for the community at large to be effective in helping the homeless-there must be communication between all the various programs and ministries.
Training and Education: We provide training for volunteers to best meet the homeless needs, for the whole community on how best to interact on a day to basis, and life skills for the homeless.
Filling in Gaps: With our large volunteer base, when there are last minute needs at other programs and shelters.
