Volunteer Information

We need your help in the following areas:

Medical:
We have all we need for this one - thank you!

Food:
We still need a few people from 10am - 2pm.

Resources:
We have all we need for this one - thank you!

Hygiene:
At this station, the homeless are able to get haircuts and pedicures. If you are a professional or student in this field we would love to have you join us.

Job Prep (resume/interview):
We have all we need for this one - thank you!

Entertainment:
Interacting, connecting with, and serving our guests by playing games provided, also helping to set up for the church service, and passing out game supplies, etc.

Clothing Store:
We have all we need for this one - thank you!

Clean-up:
(Extra crowns in Heaven) Picking up trash (gloves, brooms, and other equipment provided) and maintaining cleanliness of port-o-potties (replacing t.p., etc.).

Registration:
Volunteers in this section will be responsible for volunteer and client sign-in/release forms for the Health day event and/or at the medical station. They will also assist in verifying that guests have gone through the medical station. Registration volunteers are a huge asset in making sure Health Day runs smoothly!

Set Up:
This group of volunteers is responsible for making sure the technical aspects of the event start seamlessly. Volunteers will arrive early and set up all sections of Health Day (tables, chairs, tents, etc.--some heavy lifting) After set-up, duties are complete.

Tear Down:
Taking down and removing all tents, chairs and tables. Does not begin until later in the day, as the event is ending.

Guest Transportation:
Assisting with notifying specific shelters (their administrators, managers, etc.) of the provision of transportation on the day of the event and coordinating with them. Will need to be done a couple weeks in advance of Health Day.

Children's Section:
We have all we need for this one - thank you!

Spanish Translation:
Interpretation is needed for every section of Health Day.
